The Vegan Society

Promoting ways of living free from animal products for the benefit of people, animals and the environment.

Birthday Food

Vegan birthday cakes can be difficult to buy, but the good news is they're easy to make. Choose one of our mouth-watering recipes or get yourself a copy of Vegan Cake Book - it's packed full of the most delicious cakes you've ever tasted and all of the proceeds go to animal campaign groups. If you really aren't the baking type, then ask in your local healthfood shop or vegan friendly café - they will often make cakes to order or at least know someone does. You can help them out by taking along some recipes, or a copy of Vegan Cake Book - then they'll be fully prepared to cater for future vegan birthday requests.

Finger foods

Redwoods ready to eat sausages and organic nuggets are perfect no-fuss finger foods, or try Beanie's burgers, sausages or nuggets. For sandwiches with a difference try one of Redwoods' pates, Cheatin' Slices or Cheezly.

Party bits and bobs

No party would be complete without ice cream, and there are many vegan options. You could try Motherhemp mint chocolate chip hemp ice cream or First Foods' Vanilla Chocolate Fudge Swirl - it's almost too good to be true!

For extra nibbles and party prizes Veganstore has lollipops, sweeties, fudge, muffins, delicious little chocolate-coated peanut chews - they even have vegan marshmallows! So there's plenty to choose from for the perfect kids' party.

For party bags, Yaoh's raw food hemp bars are a tasty, healthy treat and Dove's Farm also do some yummy individual vegan bars.
