Soya Milk Shake
1 glass soya milk
3tbsp vegan drinking chocolate powder
2-3tbsp vegan chocolate ice cream
- Pour milk into blender
- Add chocolate powder and ice-cream
- Mix thoroughly using blender, food processor or hand whisk
Chocolate Cake
Preparation 35 minutes
Cooking 50 minutes
chocolate cake mixture
340g/12oz self-raising flour
1tbsp baking powder
255g/9oz castor sugar
9tbsp oil
2tbsp lemon juice
115g/4oz cocoa powder
12floz water
chocolate cream icing
255g/8oz icing sugar, sieved
55g/2oz vegan margarine
cocoa powder to taste

- Line 2 x 8" cake tins with grease-proof paper.
- First make the cake, sieve flour and baking powder into bowl.
- Add castor sugar, oil, lemon juice, cocoa powder and water
- Mix well and put into cake tin and bake at 325F/170C/Gas 3 for 40 minutes. Check knife comes out clean
- Next make the chocolate cream icing, beat icing sugar, margarine and cocoa powder together
- Sandwich cake with layer of jam and layer of chocolate cream, trimming the cake if uneven
- Cover the cake with chocolate cream
