Vegans arrested in Spain - Statement from The Vegan Society Council

The Vegan Society call on the Spanish authorities to respect the rights of the vegans recently arrested in Spain.

These rights include the provision of adequate vegan-suitable food and toiletries, as well as humane treatment whilst in detention.

We further call on the Spanish authorities to either charge or release these detainees as soon as is reasonably possible.

If charged, we assert their right to a fair trial.
