Paints, for example, usually contain shellac and many paint manufacturing companies are involved in animal testing. Household cleaning products are also often tested on animals and, for this reason, there are boycott calls against a number of the major brands.
Garden products often contain animal manures and other wastes such as bone meal or blood. Vegan organic gardening involves no animal products and is a truly sustainable way of growing your own fruit, veg or flowers.
