Ekaterina is a PhD candidate at Northumbria University in Newcastle. Her research is informed by the green criminological perspective. It focuses on the links between expansion of intensive farming and environmental justice, and is based on a case study of Northern Ireland. The research examines institutional assemblages that advance intensive farming projects, both symbolic and material support behind it, as well environmental and social harms inflicted on the local communities. Ekaterina’s previous research concentrated on environmental and climate change governance in the Chilean Antarctic.
