Nina Gheihman is a Harvard-trained sociologist writing a book about how veganism transformed from a niche subculture into a mainstream lifestyle (Bloomsbury USA, 2022). Her dissertation research is based on five years of fieldwork and over 150 interviews and was featured in The Telegraph, The Atlantic, Refinery29, Harvard Gazette, Harvard Magazine, and at the Cambridge Forum. In 2020-21, Dr. Gheihman will be jointly appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sustainable Food Initiative at the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and the Animal Law & Policy Program at Harvard Law School. She holds a Certificate of Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
