The Vegan Society and 14 brands carrying products registered with the Vegan Trademark, have made the shortlist at the 2021 Veggie Awards.

Now in its thirteenth year, the awards are described as the definitive guide for plant-based consumers.

There are 12 subcategories in the Reader Voted Category including Best Ethical Retailer, Best Vegan Food Brand and Veggie Personality of the Year. Each category will include a winner and two runners-up.

The Vegan Society is one of five organisations up for Best Ethical Online Resource. The other nominees include Green Planet Beauty, Mindful Chef, One Green Planet and Weleda.

Alpro and Violife are both nominated for Best Vegan Food Brand while Quorn and Taste & Glory, formally Naked Glory, which both have several products registered with the Vegan Trademark, are up for Best Vegetarian Food Brand. There are also three brands nominated for Best Vegetarian Lifestyle Brand including Faith in Nature, Tropic and Lush.

LUSH is also nominated for Best Ethical Retailer and Best High Street Cruelty-Free Range with The Body Shop also up in the same category. Vegan Trademark holders BOSH have been shortlisted for Cook Book of the Year.

Several restaurants and takeaways have also been recognised with Pret a Manger nominated for Best Lunch To-Go and Wagamammas, which has 107 products registered with the Vegan Trademark, shortlisted for Best Meat Free Menu.

Trademark applicant Lucy & Yak has also been recognised at this year’s awards. It’s up for Best Ethical Fashion Brand.

You can vote for The Vegan Society until 30th July. Everyone who votes will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win prizes worth over £1000, including an eco-friendly getaway, veggie cooking workshop, plant-based cookbooks and more.
