Question your candidates

Possibly the strangest election of recent years, Britain will be going to the polls on Thursday 23 May to elect our representatives in the European Parliament (MEPs). No one thought we would be having these elections but due to a Brexit deal not being agreed by parliament, the European elections will definitely be taking place.

There are a number of ways that the European Union affects veganism, for example the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the potential banning of plant-based products using 'meaty' terms like burger or sausage.

We have collated a list of questions that you can ask your local MEP candidates on vegan issues, the document can be found here.

You can find a list of your local candidates at: https://whocanivotefor.co.uk/  This contains information on the candidates and has contact information you can use to ask them questions.
