The Vegan Society is so excited to be a Guest of Honour at this year's VegfestUK London. We're counting down the days until we go! As one of Europe's biggest veggie lifestyle shows last year over 9,000 people went through the doors, and this year looks to be even bigger and better!
We will have an extra large stall with which to tell everyone about our 70th Anniversary plans, so make sure you swing by to talk to us and see what's going on.
We will also be hosting a number of talks, workshops and cookery demos, as well as collecting donations to enable us to continue and build on the important work that we do. Highlights include:
- A fascinating talk by our supporter JoJo Huxster a.k.a 'Vegan in Brighton' who will be helping you navigate the world as a well-fed vegan traveller.
- A cookery demo from our partners over at Froothie. They'll be showing you how to make delicious soups and tasty desserts in just a few minutes.
- An interesting and informative talk from Christine Vardaros all about her sporting adventures fuelled by a vegan diet, and how vegan nutrition can help support you to be active.
- To mark our 70th Anniversary, our researcher Dr Samantha Calvert and our CEO Jasmijn de Boo will be giving an illustrated talk on the history and future of The Vegan Society, discussing how the society has grown from just 25 members at its founding in November 1944 into an international movement today.
