I am a Lecturer in Social Entrepreneurship at The Open University for the department of Public Leadership and Social Enterprise (PuLSE). My research focus is on sustainable innovation and leadership in food that betters the environmental and health impacts of our food systems through vegan solutions. I was awarded my PhD on sustainable leadership in the plant-based category in 2026 from the University of Birmingham and am currently developing this project to build an understanding of how vegan food can scale competitive business models without sacrificing social and environmental mission drivers.
I am primarily a qualitative researcher with experience in interview methods as well as ethnographical and case study approaches. My work aims to improve our understanding of how personal activism translates to business strategy through leadership identities.
