Volunteering has been at the heart of The Vegan Society since 1944. In an interview, our founder Donald Watson stated that “all the early work was done by volunteers” and it is this work which has helped to build the programme we are so proud of today.
Based in our office there are two work placements, one within the Communications Team and one within the Campaigns Policy and Research team.
There are also a range of weekly roles, these are: Social Media and Digital Content Volunteer, Social Media and Visual Content Volunteer, Events and Outreach Volunteer, Project Support Volunteer, Web Editor Volunteer, Outreach Programme Volunteer and Archiving Project Support Volunteer.
Due to the nature of the tasks you’d be involved with, there’s lots of training available, and you’ll get a more in depth induction to make sure you have everything you need to get the very most out of volunteering.
If you want to get involved and you can commute in to Birmingham city centre for a four hour shift once a week, we’d love to hear from you!
