While I didn't know Jane Goodall personally, I am a longtime admirer and have always been so deeply inspired by her incredible work and the compassion she held for animals. I did not find it surprising when I learned she went vegan in the early 2000s because of her concern for animal welfare and environmental sustainability. I was so saddened to hear of her passing in October. Jane's legacy is really amazing and I encourage everyone to learn more about her as a compassionate vegan ... not to mention her trailblazing accomplishments. I just wanted to remember her here as she was a wonderful part of the vegan community.
