Northbrook MET college in Worthing, Sussex launched it’s first ever vegan cookery course. It is creative, social, fun and dedicated to cruelty-free eating. It runs for 6 evenings a term and a new term begins on 27th February. It is open to all.
The course classes are as follows:
*Cooking with Tofu (how to use and create dishes with this marvellous and versatile ingredient)
*Protein rich meals with lentils, beans, peas and seiten
*Sauces. Hot and cold. Sweet and savoury.
*Cakes and cookies.
*Picnic, party and finger-food.
*Best ‘till last! Decadent desserts.
The classes take place in the college’s commercial kitchens and all ingredients are included. The students cook every week, alongside demos, discussions and tasting and testing. The students take their creations home with them as well as recipes and nutritional ingredient information. (The teacher is vegan too!)
