Hosts of our Volunteer of the Year Awards 2014, which Fiona Oakes will be presenting, V-Delicious 2014 will take place at Kensington Olympia, and The Vegan Society is proud to be a partner of this innovative event.
The Vegan Society had a successful time at V-Delicious last year, signing up over 80 new members and giving guidance and support to those enquiring about veganism. We’re excited to build on this success to begin the lead up to our 70th year celebrations: we have plenty planned for this event!
Vegan Society Trademark Holders, Shambhu's, will be delivering a tantilising cooking demo to all from the V-Kitchen on Friday from 11.15am. Comedian and friend of The Vegan Society, Ariane Sherine, will be telling her tale of veganism, incorporating a little bit of stand up and even some musical numbers for our entertainment! From 12 noon on Friday.
As well as presenting the awards, esteemed vegan athlete and Ambassador for The Vegan Society, Fiona Oakes, will once again be delivering a presentation from 11am on the Saturday. Her talk at last years V-Delicious was the best attended at the event, and with ever-growing popularly, I’m sure this year will be no different for Fiona.
We are also planning an interesting and engaging presentation about the History of The Vegan Society, delivered by Vegan Society Researcher in Residence, Sam Calvert, as well as a vintage 40s themed tea-party for all to attend, celebrating the decade in which The Vegan Society, and the term 'vegan', were born.
