With the constantly evolving situation surrounding COVID-19, we wanted to let you know that The Vegan Society is still working on our mission to support people to go and stay vegan. Like many other organisations in the U.K. our people are now working remotely.
Our Vegan Trademark activities are unaffected, and we are continuing to accept and process applications and renewals. We will be processing sales from our online shop, including our vitamin, VEG 1, for as long as are able to obtain stocks and are permitted to do so.
We will be unable to re-issue membership cards to members of the society but will process renewals as usual. We will also be unable to issue new member packs but we can process new memberships and other member benefits – such as receiving The Vegan magazine – will be unaffected. In these difficult times we appreciate the continued support of our members and we particularly welcome new members. We will be unable to process new volunteer applications and we will also not be sending out leaflets for outreach work.
Our AGM on 30 May will no longer be held in Glasgow as planned. We are currently exploring options to hold the AGM online. Members should check the website for updates but members will be sent an email or letter giving them information on how to participate in due course.
We want to reassure our supporters, members and Vegan Trademark clients that we are available to support you and will continue operating with as few disruptions as possible.
