The Vegan Society takes home the best website award at London Vegfest 2015.
The 2015 VegfestUK Awards saw The Vegan Society face off against fierce competition from the likes of Fat Gay Vegan, Veganuary, Animal Aid and Viva!, before winning ‘Best Vegan Lifestyle Website’, with over 20% of the vote.
“This is fantastic news,” said Ali Ryland, Web and Digital Communications Officer. “Our website has been going from strength to strength, what with the introduction of the weekly blog, a new and improved nutrition section, and more. It’s a great feeling, finding out that our visitors appreciate the fact that we keep content fresh and informative.”
The Vegan Society’s Vegan Trademark holders also did well, with Booja Booja, The Vegan Cakery, Veggies Catering, Koko and Violife all taking away 1st place prizes.
Alex Douglas, Volunteering and Engagement Manager, who accepted the award on the 10th October 2015, said: “This award is particularly special because so much work has gone into professionalising the website, enabling us to raise more awareness than ever before. It's so great to know that all the hard work was and is worth it, and that people are grateful for our efforts.”
