
Lauren-Marie Kennedy is a PhD researcher at the Open University, undertaking a collaborative project with The Vegan Society that examines the history of the vegan movement in Britain.
With a background in art and design, she integrates creative practice into her academic research. She has donated artworks to charity auctions supporting animal sanctuaries, spoken at the International Association of Vegan Sociologists (IAVS), and delivered a poetic performance of her research at the Vegan and Animal Rights Conference (VARC).
Her published undergraduate thesis, The Gendered Politics of Veganism, explores the intersections of gender and veganism, reflecting her broader research interests in vegan-feminism, critical animal studies, and vegan sociology.
