Healthy vegan diets can avoid all the risks of eating 'meat'Fiona Oakes desert background

Healthy vegan diets can avoid all the risks of eating 'meat'. That's the message which Vegan Society speakers have been sharing with journalists and audiences today.

Powered by plants

A delicious, nutritious vegan diet will support Elite vegan runner, Fiona Oakes [1], when she tackles the Marathon des Sables [2] - the most gruelling foot race on the planet - this April.

Vegan runner, Kevin White talked today to BBC Radio Hereford and Worcester about how his healthy vegan diet supports his charity half-marathon running [3]. During her BBC WM radio interview, Vegan Society Head of Communications, Roz Raha, encouraged listeners to explore plant-based versions of all their favourite world cuisines [4]. They were responding to widespread reports of strong new links between 'meat eating' and early death [5].

The Vegan Society offers free support and advice to anyone wishing to explore tasty, varied, healthy vegan diets for themselves. You can sign up now: vegansociety.com/veganpledge/ for free mentoring.
