I  am a current MA student at the University of Sheffield whose interests are focused on the relationship between racism and and speciesism. In particular how current methods of animal advocacy can replicate colonial relations, reinforce existing racial tropes and invoke moral imperialism. Subsequently I am interested in how to re-position the animal rights movement to be more inclusive and successful in non-Western cultures.

I am currently in the progress of constructing a PHD proposal on animal advocacy in East Asia, which follows the implications of current animal advocate efforts in the region and how such efforts should and can be amended to be more successful and prevent an animal injustice vs racial injustice conflict. This follows from my MA dissertation which investigates how international animal rights campaigns (led by animal rights organisations, states, and international governmental bodies) invoke imperialism, and how this can be amended.

Overall I have particular experience in the field of political philosophical of animal rights.
