I am a climate scientist carrying out research into climate change over the polar regions. As part of this, I have a good understanding of the substantial contribution that animal-based agriculture makes to global greenhouse gas emissions/future climate change. I give many talks to schools on veganism and climate change, and how they are linked. I also discuss other environmental concerns linked to animal-based farming, such as habitat destruction, water pollution, inefficiency, and the massive use of natural resources required.
