With St George’s Day approaching, what better way to show some patriotism than with these mouth-watering English classics?

April marks National Pet Month in the UK, an awareness campaign dedicated to promoting 'responsible pet ownership'. Ruby Guyler looks at some of the ethical implications of bringing a companion animal into your home as a vegan.

This will be a huge outdoor celebration of veganism, featuring more than 100 fantastic stalls, 10 world food caterers, all day talks and cookery demonstrations, all day live entertainment, music and more! Entry is £5 per day or £8 for the full weekend payable on the gate (under 16s are free). VIP tickets are also available for £15 and include fast track entry and a goody bag full of vegan products, samples, discounts and offers.

This event promises to be a crowd-pleaser, with 150 vegan and animal welfare stalls, 10 world food caterers, a huge seating area, talk rooms, workshops, cookery demonstrations, films and music. Tickets are £3 payable on  the door (under 16s are free) or £15 in advance for VIP tickets, which include fast track entry and a goody bag full of products, samples, discounts and offers.

Plymouth Vegan Festival will feature more than 60 fantastic indoor and outdoor stalls, world food caterers, exciting cookery demonstrations, inspirational talks and children's activities running throughout the day. Entry is £3 payable on the day on the door (under 16s are free) or £15 for VIP tickets in advance, which include fast track entry and a goody bag full of vegan products, samples, discounts and offers.

The volunteer-run festival will have 200 stalls, 10 world food caterers, inspirational talks, innovative and exciting cookery demos, children's activities, yoga, free samples and a huge seated cafe area. Entry is £5 payable on the door (under 16s are free) or VIP tickets are available in advance for £15, including fast track entry and a goody bag packed full of products, samples, discounts and offers. What's more, all ticket money goes to animal welfare charities.

Feel free to drop in during the day and see what the event has to offer! There will be a mini market, engaging talks, workshops, presentations, demonstrations and delicious vegan food and drink on offer. The event will focus on nutrition, health and wellness, so also expect a variety of vegan-friendly supplements, fermented foods and drinks and vegan nutrition products. There will even be 10 minute massage boosters for the hands, arms, shoulders, neck, head and feet!
