If you're bored of your usual cereal or toast and jam for breakfast, why not give this a try  - simply spoon the mushrooms over some hot toast for a warming start to the day.

Serves 1


  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 handful of mushrooms, quartered
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 heaped tsp tomato puree


  1. Heat oil in a wok, add mushrooms and cook for a few minutes.
  2. Add garlic, cook for a minute. Add the salt, tomato puree and cook for a further minute or two.
