The Vegan Society is pleased to announce the co-option of three new trustees to the Council of The Vegan Society.

Following an invitation for applications from the society’s membership, Council received a number of very good quality applications and, assisted by the society’s Human Resources agency, CloverHR, the trustees appointed Christine Fraser, Paul Higgins and Donald Lee to Council.

Christine Fraser is currently University Secretary and Clerk to the Board of Governors at Cardiff Metropolitan University, having significant experience as a senior manager in higher education.  Christine’s skills and experience include strategic planning, governance, change and people management (particularly managing staff conflict) and financial management.

Paul Higgins is an actor and writer who has spent six years as a trustee of The Actors’ Children’s Trust, including the last two as Chair.

Donald Lee is an economist who taught in universities in Australia and Malaysia before joining the United Nations in New York as an expert on social and economic issues. He is currently President of the Board of the International Movement ATD Fourth World, an international non-profit organization for the eradication of poverty.

Christine, Paul and Donald join current Council members Kamal Adatia, Salim Akbar, David Gore (Treasurer), Mellissa Morgan (Vice-Chair), Jenifer Vinell (Chair) and Stephen Walsh (Company and Council Secretary). Details of all trustees can be found on the Council of trustees’ page.
