This webinar will summarise the evidence-based recommendations for cancer prevention and how they can be applied to patients with cancer. The available evidence suggests that diet and lifestyle approaches can impact outcomes following a diagnosis of cancer, not only through a direct effect on the cancer but indirectly by reducing the impact of other common chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.
The talk will focus on the impact of food and drink choices, physical activity, the health of the gut microbiome and the more investigational approaches of fasting and methionine restriction.
