The London Feminist Film Festival is back for its 5th edition, from 17-20 August. LFFF's Feminist Classic will be screened at BFI Southbank this year - The Sealed Soil, the first film by an independent Iranian female director, follows a young woman struggling for independence in her small village. The rest of the festival will be at the Rio Cinema in Dalston and will include sessions on violence against women and girls, women claiming spaces, feminism and the archive and more. Each session includes a panel to discuss the themes dealt with in the films.
This event is supported by the Vegan Society's Engaging New Audiences Grant Scheme. This scheme helps grass-roots, community, charity and other not-for-profit groups run events and activities to help people go vegan and stay vegan.
