Background
We have always been in touch and listened to our members because we value your opinion. When it came to the rebrand we knew communication with our members was vital which is why in the winter 2013 issue of The Vegan Magazine we explained the processes we went through and the reasoning behind it. All our members had an opportunity to ask about the rebrand at our last AGM and we answered all your questions fully. The response was overwhelmingly positive, from our members and supporters to our trademark holders.
We’re changing the way we work with people, but we haven’t swayed from our vision. We’re working really hard to create a world where humans do not exploit other animals. We want to see a world where animals are free to exist in their own right. We’re working hard to promote a lifestyle that excludes, as far as possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of - and cruelty to - animals for the purposes of food, clothing or anything else.

The meeting
We have chosen a central, neutral location to enable as many of you to take part as possible. The day will be for you to seek answers to your questions, share your reactions and for open, respectful debate where your voices can be heard in the form of a Q&A session. Your Chair of Trustees, Ian Liddle, your CEO, Jasmijn de Boo and your Head of Communications, Ruth Semple, as well as other Trustees and Staff will be listening, responding, and providing information.  We will focus on the new Vegan Society visual identity, our Love Vegan campaign, and the recent activity on Facebook. Notes will be taken.

If you are a member and would like to attend
If you’d like to attend the meeting, you must RSVP along with your membership number before Wednesday 16 July so that we can confirm numbers. As you can appreciate, we don’t want to have to spend more of our valuable Vegan Society funds to book a venue any bigger than required for this event.

If you are a member and cannot attend
If you cannot attend the meeting, you can send in questions before the event with your membership number by Tuesday 15 July to info[at]vegansociety[dot]com We will do our best to answer all questions by putting similar submissions together and answering them as one question.

Non-members
We have been a membership organisation since 1944 because we feel it is important to give people the opportunity to have a formal say and provide feedback on our impact. If you wish to attend the Q&A and help us by adding your voice to the movement you can join here.
