The idea of supplementation as a vegan can be overwhelming. It is not uncommon to feel confused about the wide array of vegan supplements available on the market.
You may find yourself thinking, “do I really need to take all of these?” and then, “wow, all of these really add up!”. A hefty price tag can lead to taking no action at all, which can put your health at risk, since selective supplementation is an important part of healthy vegan nutrition. The truth is, you don’t need to break the bank to avoid a nutrient deficiency.
A well-designed vitamin and mineral supplement is a great way to tackle supplementation whilst on a budget
VEG 1 is a reliable source of several key nutrients - B12, D3, iodine and selenium. The cost works out at just 7p per tablet, which is certainly more affordable than buying multiple supplements. Our aim here at The Vegan Society is to make veganism accessible for all, not to make a profit. We are therefore able to provide a quality, value-for-money supplement without a ‘bougie’ price tag, allowing more people to go vegan, and most importantly, stay vegan.
VEG 1 is designed to be taken once daily, and we offer a 6-month supply made up of 180 tablets, or a 3-month supply of 90 tablets. The 6-month supply is available to buy for just £12.70, working out at under £2.15 per month, or around 49p a week.
The 3-month supply is priced at £6.60, which is a small £2.20 per month, or 51p per week. So, whether you budget monthly or weekly, the table below can be used to work out how VEG 1 can fit into your budget.
Keep an eye on our social media channels for VEG 1 giveaways and discounts throughout the year. There are occasional opportunities to get it cheaper, or even better, for free!
Vegan Society members are eligible for a 10% discount on VEG 1. When logged in to the ‘members area,’ a 10% discount will automatically be applied at checkout. For more information about becoming a member, please click here.
- When purchasing from our webshop, there is a delivery charge to factor in. However, we do work with stockists in the UK and Europe, so VEG 1 can be purchased in store at various locations. You can drop an email to sales[at]vegansociety[dot]com, to find your nearest stockist and avoid the delivery charge.
We understand that for some, spending on supplements is just not possible. The Vegan Society is fully committed to making veganism an accessible dietary choice for people of all backgrounds. That’s why, in 2021, in collaboration with other charities (who support vulnerable vegans), we are aiming to donate a year’s worth of VEG 1, to over 2700 vegans.
