Marley was my companion from leaving home at age 18.
Although I had a connection with many animal companions through childhood, Marley stayed with me through my adult life until last year (2025) at the grand age of 18. She wasn't really interested in other people, but was fiercely loyal to me and she is very missed. Isn't it beautiful how non-human animals never judge?

Odin,

I miss you every single day. There isn’t a moment that passes where you aren’t with me in some way, where your presence still lingers. Losing you felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest, leaving a hollow space that nothing can fill. Life hasn’t been the same since you left, and I don’t think it ever will be.
