Midlands Art Centre (MAC) announces new dates for Dirty Vegan pop up nights - with curry and desserts on the menu! Are you trying Veganuary, interested in tasting more vegan food or just fancy a cool night out in Birmingham with live music? MAC's pop up cafe, Dirty Vegan, has you covered. We've got two great night coming up for anyone who loves curry. coctails, puddings, music or just enjoying new experiences.

We start with Dirty Vegan - Dessert Night. An event of pure, completely vegan indulgence. Join us for our first ever Dirty Vegan pudding party.

We are very pleased to announce that Newbury Vegan Market is coming back! After the success of our event back in Oct 2018 we will be returning to the market square in the much warmer and sunnier month of June!
Just like last time you can expect to see a wide range of vegan stalls including delicious vegan food, ethical clothing brands, cruelty free cosmetics, arts and crafts and much more.

We are excited to welcome in the start of February with our Vegan Supper Clubs! 1ST + 2ND February in Wetherby, Ilkley, Skipton, York, Jesmond + Beverley restaurants!

Our supper club menu has been created by our very own development chef - and we can tell you that it is 100% NOT to be missed! From a masala chaat squash carpaccio to start to tofu “fish” and chips - we can assure you that all of our dishes are packed with vibrant ingredients + flavours.

You will need a heart-shaped tin with a loose base. Tin sizes vary but this is a dessert for two to share so you’re looking for a tin no more than 25cm / 9 ½ inches across the widest part. 

For the katsu curry sauce:

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlicKatsu curry
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 medium carrot
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 medium onion
  • ½ green apple
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala

Ingredients 

  • 2 measures of pink gin (1 measure = 25ml / 0.8 US fl oz)Valentine's Gin
  • Ginger ale
  • 4 – 6 frozen black or red cherries
  • 2 - 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 – 3 tbsp sugar

Method 

Join us at Birmingham's first Yogfiic Yoga and Vegan festival at the lovely campus of Bordesley Green Girls School. Participate in all-day Yoga & meditation sessions, enjoy yummy vegan and raw vegan food, shop for vegan products and attend talks.

Help us make this a #zerowaste festival by bring your own cutlery. All food stalls will give discounts to those who bring their own.

The market will be jam-packed with many stalls selling a huge variety of vegan products from great local businesses. We'll have everything from amazing vegan food to luxury vegan cosmetics and ethical clothing to interesting charities plus a few campaign groups. Admission £2, under 12s free.

We are about bringing the community together in a secure space creating an ethical world of fun and love for everyone!
