World Vegan Day on Saturday 1st November 2014 saw vegan athlete James Southwood become the first British World Champion in Boxe-Francaise Savate - a sport also known as French kickboxing.

World Vegan Day on November the 1st kicked off spectacularly as Forest Green Rovers (FGR) made a roaring return to form following a half-time ‘pitch’ from vegan football veteran Neil Robinson, and support from the McCartneys.

On December 6th, Shropshire Veggies and Vegans are holding their Cruelty Free Christmas Fair, just in time for some Christmas Shopping!

Entry is free and the first 100 adults throught the door will get their hands on a free goody bag! If you miss out on a goody bag, don't despair as you could also win a box of treats from The Vegan Kind in the prize draw, or some fantastic vegan food and gifts on the tombola!

Christmas will be here before we know it, so head over to Kensington Town Hall on the 7th of December and start ticking off your shopping list at the Animal Aid Christmas Fayre.

Why not round up this year's World Vegan Month with a visit to Viva!'s Incredible Vegan Christmas Show. There will be a range of vegan foods to sample and various vegan goodies on sale including cruelty-free cosmetics, bags, books, clothing and cuddly toys. There will also be cookery demos and talks, plus lots of information and advice for vegans and the vegan-curious.

Entrance is free so why not visit Bristol this November and find out more about vegan living.

The South West Christmas Without Cruelty Festival returns to Exeter this November with a wide range of vegan products on sale including cruelty-free cosmetics and skin care products, handmade chocolates, cakes, calendars and local crafts, fairtrade jewellery, clothing, children’s games, wildlife photography and pottery. Don't miss this great chance to find all your cruelty-free Christmas gifts!

This World Vegan Month why not head to The Northants Free Vegan Food and Cruelty Free Fair to sample some delicious vegan food and learn about the good work of local animal protection groups. There will be various stalls selling ethical food and gifts as well as campaign stalls, information and advice. 

Back by popular demand for its fourth year running, Compassionate Derby is an ethical living event that is free to attend and where everyone is welcome!
 
There will be a range of cruelty-free food and lifestyle products, lots of free samples, charity and campaigning stalls, children's activities, a diverse program of talks throughout the day, a generous raffle and much more. So why not head to Derby on December 6th to do a bit of Christmas shopping and find out more about living a compassionate lifestyle.

This Year, New York is celebrating World Vegan Day and the 70th anniversary of The Vegan Society, with a community driven NYC World Vegan Day Festival. Brought to you by Global Vegan Events, the festival promises to be a fantastic celebration for vegans and aspiring vegans alike. There will be food tastings, chef instructed workshops, seminars lead by vegan athletes, inspirational and informative panels, a youth hour, a fashion show, story time readings and much much more!

The Centre for Human Animal Studies (CfHAS) will be holding its inaugural conference on Saturday 25th October 2014 at Edge Hill University. The conference will also mark the official launch of CfHAS, the first centre of its kind in the UK.
