Until a few years ago, Jason Mitchell could barely run for the bus, let alone a 13 mile stretch through a paved city of cheering crowds. And yet, on the 22nd February 2015, Jason successfully completed his first half marathon – fuelled by veganism. This is his story

For the Fifth year running, Bologna will play host to the hugely successful VeganFest. This September, Bologna Fiere and SANA, bring you this fantastic 4 day event where you can explore the latest organic and eco-friendly products, find out about the best wellness companies, and learn more about living a compassionate life. 

As well as the wide range of products on show, there will be a conference area with displays, book presentations cooking demonstrations, talks and workshops. 

Since 2008, the veggie-friendly Berlin has played host to the fantastic Vegan-Vegetarian Summer Festival. Last year was such a great success that this year the festival is going to be on for 3 whole days!

Everyone is welcome at the Summer Festival, where you can find out about vegan living, stuff yourself with delicious vegan food and experience a wide array of stage events all day long. There will be over 70 stalls showcasing a great range of vegan products and providing visitors with plenty of information.

Vegan Camp is a friendly and enjoyable annual social gathering for singles, couples and families. Every year the camp is held in a new location with people coming to stay for as long as they want - from day visits to the full two weeks.

This year's Vegan Camp will be held in Mersea Island, Essex, from the 20th of July until the 3rd of August. Everyone is welcome and you can stay for as long as you would like!

VegFest Colorado is a 2 day fun-filled celebration of healthy plant-based eating and environmental awareness.

There will be a host of renowned speakers, with talks on a range of issues such as health, diet, compassion, and the environment. VegFest will also feature cooking demonstrations by expert chefs, food sampling, restaurants, commercial & non-profit vendors, fun for the kids and more!

The sixth annual NOLA Veggie Fest will be held this May and everyone is welcome! Visit the festival and see how healthy eating can be delicious too.

There’s a lot to see and do at this fun, family friendly event.  You can try free food samples, check out local product vendors, attend cooking demos, listen to speakers, get new recipes, watch short films, hang out in the kids area, enjoy a delicious  lunch and learn ways to include more veggies in your diet.

The fourth annual Texas Vegfest will be taking place on Saturday April 4, 2015, at the beautiful Fiesta Gardens on Lady Bird Lake.

There will be a range of stalls from local and national vendors for you to explore, plus a great schedule of speakers, cooking demonstrations, youth activities, and live music! There will be plenty of fantastic food and drink available, and entrance is completely free, so why not visit Texas Vegfest this April.

A weekend of health-inspired fun awaits you at Healthfest 2015. Set in Marshall, Texas, this weekend long event will help you learn about the endless benefits of a healthful, compassionate and sustainable plant-based lifestyle.

Exeter Friends For Animals are rounding up their amazing "Go Vegan" month, with their popular Vegan Fair and Bake Sale.
