Nuno Alvim is the board director of the Portuguese Vegetarian Association. He has a master’s degree in law and Criminology. He's been engaged in active lobbying and campaigning for promoting the right to plant-based meals in public facilities. His petitioning work has resulted in the approval of ground-breaking legislation for the provision of strict vegetarian food in public canteens.

 

 

Oscar Horta is a professor of philosophy at the University of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain. He has been involved in vegan and antispeciesist advocacy since the mid-90s. He’s a founding member of Animal Ethics

 

 

 

Francisco Guerreiro was elected in 2019, with 34 years, to the European Parliament and is currently the 1st vice-chair of the Agricultural and Rural Development Committee, as well as member of Fisheries and Budget Committees. He´s also the only Portuguese in the European Greens/EFA in the European Parliament. He´s vegan, married and has 2 daughters, one adopted cat and one rescued rabbit.

A celebration of all things plant based, we’ll have a fantastic line up of vegan traders as well as a whole host of friendly information about following a vegan diet and lifestyle.

There will be a chance to sample plant based food and drink from independent businesses and to stock up on your favourite cruelty-free products. Cabana Kitchen & Cafe will be serving their finest vegan cakes and lunches together with a selection of plant based street food vendors.
