One of the UK’s longest-standing organisations that represents dietetics and nutrition has affirmed that a well-planned vegan diet can “support healthy living in people of all ages” in an official document signed by its CEO.

Vegan Society Dietitian Heather Russell spoke to residents of Thorn Cross Prison and Catering Manager Danny Daniels about vegan nutrition and catering.

This will be the first ever singles supper club, catering specifically for vegans, taking place in Brighton.

Hosted at Youjuice Health Food Café on North Road in Brighton, guests will enjoy a five-course plant-based meal with a seat swap after every course to encourage mingling.

The menu will feature a range of romance-inspired ingredients from pomegranate to lovage, all organic and locally sourced.


All are welcome to come and indulge in a wide variety of deliciously tasty vegan foods and products. The event is great for vegans, vegetarians and for those simply wishing to try out something new.

One of the 59 cows donated to a sanctuary by a vegetarian farmer who could no longer bear to send them to the slaughterhouse has given birth to beautiful twin calves yesterday.
