A vegetarian 'beef' farmer has made the incredible gesture of donating a herd of 59 cows to a vegan sanctuary and is working to convert his farm to a vegan one.

The Macrobiotic Summer Conference, which has been held for the past three years in New England is now open for registration! Over 25 teachers, counselors and cooks will attend the conference and over 50 cooking classes will be held all throughout the duration of the conference. Enjoy three tasty, satisfying vegan macrobiotic meals each day prepared under the direction of head chef Amber Maisano and sous chef Alex Garberg.

We ask newly elected MPs to consider vegan and animal issues during their new terms.

Head to the VON Manchester Vegan Fest for a fun filled festival, with great food, entertainment, fitness, talks, new people to meet and lots of funky vegan stalls.

It is being held at the Britannia Sachas Hotel which is located in the heart of central Manchester, a short walk from Piccadilly Train Station and a few hundred yards from the bus station. The entrance to the event is via Oldham St.

The Vegan Connections Festival will take place on Saturday 12th August in Glasgow. The Festival will comprise of six venues across the city promoting the great vegan culture the city has to offer, including music and great vegan produce.

This is a prime opportunity to learn some authentic Indian home cookery, from Shambhu's chef Nishma Shah. Nishma is of Indian heritage, has been immersed in Indian culture all her life and is proud of it, and importantly loves making and teaching delicious plant-based Indian food.

This is a hands-on cookery course intended to teach children (8-13 years of age) how to cook a variety of delicious healthy meals using only plant-based ingredients (no meat, fish, eggs and dairy).

By participating on this course, children will pick up a variety of cooking skills and food-related knowledge, including nutrition. They'll also learn about the wide variety of nutritious pulses and grains available, alternatives ways of sweetening foods, how to cook with tofu, how to store food and reduce food waste, and much more.
