West African shawarma is a popular West African street food snack to have on the go, and is very popular in both Nigeria and Cameroon. Shawarma was popularised by Lebanese immigrants who settled in these countries. It has been adapted with popular African spices and flavours. This vegan adaptation uses mushrooms to replicate the umami taste and texture that meat does.

Koki beans is a tasty steamed pudding that's packed with flavour, and is a popular, staple, Cameroonian dish. Mainly made with blended black eye beans, this is a great high protein treat to have as a snack or as part of a meal.

The Vegan Society CEO Update

The Vegan Society’s CEO, Steve Hamon, has left the society. Steve’s resignation will not impact the day-to-day operation of the society which is being managed in the short term by the society’s Heads of Departments and senior managers. They are:

Claire Ogley, Head of Campaigns Policy and Research

Inspiring speakers, vegan vendors, cooking demos, children’s area, farm sanctuary volunteers plus other non-profits, and plant-based food.

It’s also a place for the vegan-curious to learn more about choosing a healthier, more compassionate lifestyle. Get your questions answered and enjoy the delicious creations from our plant-based food and drink vendors.

Celebrating All Things Vegan In Bellingham!

Bellingham Veg Fest is a free all-vegan, all-ages, family friendly festival created to show how easy and fun it is to live a vegan lifestyle. This event welcomes anyone and everyone – from the veg-curious to the experienced vegans. The event stands for compassion for all humans and non-humans, commitment to the health and sustainability of our planet, and support for our local vegan and vegan-friendly small business and nonprofits.

The fest will feature food, art, crafts, and more. Everything at this event will be vegan.

Join Sonoma County VegFest, a celebration of compassionate, healthy, and environmentally responsible living. 

They are returning with our full indoor/outdoor program this year featuring dozens of local and bay area vendors with delicious food, refreshing drinks, wellness and nutrition information, sustainable and eco products, lots of samples and so much more.
