Stock-free crop farming
Did you know farmers regularly rely on farmed animals to grow crops?
The Vegan Organic Network (VON) is an international network of successful farmers who grow abundant crops without needing any animal manures or other soil fertilizers taken from farmed animals. Stock-free growing and vegan diets are an important part of not only securing the global food supply, but also tackling climate change.
Working with VON, The Vegan Society promotes stock-free farming to farmers looking for sustainable livelihoods, to policy-makers and to international development organisations.
